VIDEO: Storm Closes Riverdale Park Farmers Market Early
The farmers market remains open Thursdays even when summer storms roll through, but last week it had to close early.
For the past three Thursdays consecutively it has rained during the Riverdale Park Farmers Market. Yet, vendors remain open and area residents still shop even when it's drizzling.
Farmers Market Coordinator Jim Coleman said Thursday due to the tornado warning they had to close down early, and the market saw 100 fewer customers.
Although it stormed later in the afternoon, vendors stayed open as long as they could.
