Indian take on pizza should lure foodies to Hyattsville fast-casual restaurant.

It may be old news for many local residents, but Patch's sister publication The Huffington Post has discovered Spice 6's unique Naan pizza, telling DC pizza lovers that's worth the trek up Rhode Island Avenue to check out the Indian take on America's favorite way to eat with their hands.

"Spice 6 isn't the first customizable Indian eatery in town -- Merziin Gallery Place comes to mind -- but the idea of naan pizza is a unique twist. Owner Vik Singh was inspired after working at a pizza place and experimenting with Indian toppings. A year ago, he brought in chef Upendra Thapaliya from Nepal and Spice 6 was born," wrote Huffington Post DC restaurant correspondent Erin Ruberry in an article published on Monday.

Spice 6 opened in Hyattsville more than a year ago, in May 2012, and is walking distance for many Riverdale Park residents.
