July Home Sales Prices Stable, Even With Foreclosures

A look at how much homes sold for in July.

Usually July is a slow month for sales because of vacations and such, but this year Riverdale Park had a great July. Three houses sold at solid prices— one in the $300,000's, one in the mid $200,000's and one in the high $100,000's, which is a very good sign.

However, the foreclosures have brought the median price down with the lowest sold price at $65,199.

University Park was a little slow with only one home sold, but it was one of the small ramblers without a basement and it was really not comparable to a standard University Park home.

Yet, I think the market is showing some progress.
