You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Riverdale Park-University Park Patch picks a great restaurant nearby that is worth checking out.
Sometimes you've had a hard day at work and all you want to do is unwind with a beer and some bar food.
If that's the case, the Quarry House is right for you. Located off Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, it would be one of those you miss if you didn't know where it was — but once you get inside, you understand why the regulars come so often.
It's a great bar, with great food - like burgers (half price on Monday), various sandwiches, tater tots and even salads.

If you go, order one of their burgers and choose a variety of topping - like pico de gallo and pepperjack, or bacon, cheddar and thousand island dressing, with a side of tots. Then browse through their brew menu and of your liking.
