From a Prince George's County News Release:

Snow has once again been forecasted for the Washington metropolitan area. In preparation for the possible accumulation of 1 to 2 inches of snow in the area, the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation will deploy crews this evening to monitor and treat the roadways.

“The crews will focus on the primary roads and then will move into the residential areas to treat the roadways,” said DPW&T Acting Director Darrell Mobley. “With the temperatures falling below freezing, the roadways may become icy. Motorists are asked to stay alert and use caution when driving.”

To report roadway conditions, residents are encouraged to call CountyClick at 311 or go to the Snow Request Form on the county’s website at www.princegeorgescountymd.gov.

I hope the crews do not continue to leave aswath of snow and ice chunks at the end of the driveways as they have been doing. I have lived in other areas of the country where the plows do not do this and are much more through in the plowing of neighborhood streets. I would like a politician to suggest a solution to the snow plows blocking tax paying citizens driveways so that they will stop . This is just insulting that they can continue this practice!
