Tree Maintenance

Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Meeting Location: We will be meeting right off of 38th St. in Hyattsville, MD 20781 -- adjacent to the 38th St. bridge which crosses over the Northeast Branch of the Anacostia River.  If you are heading south on 38th St. from Hamilton St. (but before you get to Alison St.), you will see a parking lot and ballfield on your left, immediately before the bridge.  AWS staff members will be there waiting for you! 
By car: From Queens Chapel Rd. take Hamilton St., go by the Safeway on the right, and turn right on 38th St. 
By Metro:  The closest Metro station is West Hyattsville (Green line).  From the station you can walk about 8 blocks (20 min. at most) down Hamilton St., and take a right onto 38th St..  If you are facing away from the station, go left through the parking lot and turn right down Jamestown Rd.  Walk down Jamestown Rd. until you hit Hamilton St., where you will take a left.  Walk about 8 blocks to 38th St., where you will take a right.  You can also take the F8 bus towards the Cheverly Station and get off at the bus stop between 38th Ave. and Hamilton St. Please click here for a map of our meeting place.

Activity Description: Join AWS as we work to care for the trees we've planted this past spring!  We need your help to water, weed, and mulch these small saplings so they make it through our hot, dry summers!
