County Recreation Facilities Set to Close for Maintenance

Find out when your Prince George's county neighborhood community center will be closed.

Every year, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission closes community centers throughout the county to complete maintenance work.

To make sure you aren’t stuck outside in the heat during repairs, check out this list of upcoming maintenance closures.

If your community center is not listed here, maintenance work may have already been completed.

  • Fairland Sports and Aquatic Complex in Laurel: August 19-September 8 (Pools closed only)

  • Glenn Dale Community Center: August 12-17 (August 13-16 Closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., then reopens from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

  • Good Luck Community Center in Lanham: August 28-29

  • Gwendolyn Britt Senior Activity Center in North Brentwood: September 13

  • Langley Park Senior Activity Center: August 16

  • Mount Rainier Nature & Recreation Center: September 9

  • Rollingcrest-Chillum Splash Pool in Hyattsville:September 1-15 (Pools closed only. Facility will remain open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for customer questions and course registration.)
