Arts Drop-In: Dazzling 3D Paper Pop-Up Art

  • Description:  Families are invited to make an art project with local arts guru Aaron Springer of College Park Arts Exchange.

  • Description:  Participants are invited to explore, through a variety of activities, how America’s enslaved people managed to maintain African traditions despite harsh and violent efforts to silence these cultural practices.

Coffee with Delegate Geraldine Valentino-Smith

  • Description:  Geraldine Valentino-Smith will talk about issues before The General Assembly.

Free Ageless Grace Classes

  • Where:  Greenbelt Youth Center, 99 Centerway, Greenbelt
  • When:  Friday, Feb. 22, 12:30 p.m.
  • Description:  Mrs. Denise Medved from North Carolina, will be running a seminar and instructor certification classes on Ageless Grace, an exercise program she created that is done from a chair.

RKC Kidz Expo - Free Admission

  • Where:  Rainbow Kidz City, 6816 Laurel Bowie Rd, Bowie
  • When: Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.
  • Description:  Event features products and services for children from toddlers to young teens including furniture and accessories, educational products, toys, hobbies, health products and more.

NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore's 30th Anniversary Gala

  • Where:  820 Key Hwy, Baltimore
  • When:  Saturday, Feb. 23, 6:30 p.m.
  • Description:  NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore will be holding their special “30th Anniversary Gala”. A sampling of the evening’s features are an open beer and wine bar with an hors d’oeuvres reception followed by a seated dinner by Chef’s Expressions, and a viewing of the “Through the Mind’s Eye” Art Exhibit and Silent Auction where select pieces of pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and paintings will be displayed and sold.

Free Health and Wellness Seminar

  • When:  Saturday, Feb. 23, 2 p.m.
  • Description:  Visitors are invited to partake in an afternoon tea complete with the tastes and sounds of Scotland.
