Prince George’s County Library System Hires Digital Services Librarian

Prince George’s County Memorial Library System hired Josie Fiore as the digital services librarian. In her position, Fiore manages the library system’s online social media, helps maintain and develop virtual services and online resources, and trains library staff members.

Fiore brings more than 10 years of public library experience including work in digital services and technology training as well as library instruction, supervision, planning, programming, reference services and project management.

Prior to becoming digital services librarian, Fiore was a site supervisor at the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System’s Accokeek Branch. As site supervisor, Fiore oversaw branch operations, supervised a staff of nine and led teen book discussions. She was also a librarian and branch manager at the Upper Marlboro Branch Library and a technology training librarian and digital services librarian at the Louisville Free Public Library in Kentucky.

Fiore earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science at Sewanee: The University of the South and her Master of Library and Information Science at the University of Kentucky.
