University Park Elementary is located within a residential area of Baltimore Avenue. The school has high state test scores, in the 80th percentile, and also boasts a 93 percent attendance rate. The school serves a large hispanic community but is not a Title 1 school. The school's principal, Nancy Schickner, began her first year with the school in the fall of 2009.
