County Schools Honored For Digital Technology Use

Prince George's County Public Schools was honored for using digital technology in the classroom on Saturday at the annual Powering Up With Technology Conference. Superintendent William R. Hite Jr. will be presented with the Visionary District award by Discovery Education, "saluting his leadership in creating a 21st century learning environment." The school system has reached 2 million views of Discovery Education's digital videos, demonstrating its commitment to transforming classrooms to capture the attention of tech-savvy students.

This is great. I think tech will level the playing field at put the county on a trajectory of greatness if we could mobilize those with the skills and pair them with the businesses that need them.
