Very, very sad! Yesterday around 5:00 pm I was walking past that area and a woman with a tiny baby in her arms and leading a little girl of about 4 or 5 walked across Rt. 1 in the middle of the busy traffic, they were about 50-100 feet from the traffic lights and crosswalks. Very scary, esp. as the police tape was still up where the fatality had occurred earlier in the day. I don't know what the circumstances were in the pedestrian fatality, and who was at fault. However, ALL of us, whether we walk, drive, bike, jog, etc., when we're out and about, we need to be completely aware of what's around us AND obey the traffic laws. We don't need more tragedies like t his one.
