Although the metro fare increase won't take effect until Monday during the afternoon rush hour, some weekend commuters at Prince George's Plaza discussed their thoughts on the new increase.The 20-cent increase comes as a part of the second phase of Metro fare increases implemented this year. It will affect those who are travelling out of the city from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.

Great video! There's definitely less of an incentive to take bus or Metro in this area since the fare hike, even when you factor in gas and parking fees.
