Apple Martinis and Cosmopolitans are two of the most popular drinks at Calvert House Inn around this time of year, but with a little creativity, the bartenders might create a special drink for a patron-- one that's reminiscent of all the aromas and tastes of Christmas.

Calvert Inn's newest bartender Teresa Wolinski vaguely remembers the details of this spur-of-the-moment drink, created on Thanksgiving as sort of an ode to the season by Calvert Inn's manager. After that moment of creativity, the cocktail had yet to be made again.

With secure bartending knowledge and an in-the-spirit attitude, Wolinski was able to ressurect the lost treat and add her twist to the spiced cocktail. It's not on the menu, but you can walk into this cozy bar and request Suzanna's Sweet Holiday (name created by Wolinski in honor of her manager). It's sure to warm your tastebuds.

Suzanna's Sweet Holiday

1 part Goldschläger Cinnamon Schnapps

1 part Pumpkin Spice liqeur

A dash of Maple Syrup

1 part Cranberry Juice

Combine all ingredients, but no need to shake or stir. All parts are equally distributed in this recipe.

"You never want to add to much of one flavor in a cocktail," Wolinski says.
