Stay Warm This Week: Five Places to Spend Time Indoors
With the temperatures in the 30s this week, stay warm at these five places.
Temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s all week and with some wintery mix on the way Tuesday, it won't be pleasant outdoors.
Yet, instead of staying cooped up at home, there are few places you can spend your time, while staying warm.
If you're looking for a book to curl up with the Hyattsville Public Library has a large selection of books or magazines and many areas to stay around and read. The library opens at 10 a.m. and stays open until 9 p.m. There's also access to computers for research or Web surfing.
A caramel macchiato and some WiFi can be found at the Starbucks in College Park and in the absence of most of the University of Maryland students on winter break many of the cozy couches and tables in the back of the cafe will be available.
Whether you want a mid-day beer or a good burger, S & J's is the perfect place to get warm. With a ton of tables and WiFi, you can get some work done, while you enjoy some good bar conversation.
Another great place to take a book or some work is the Calvert House Inn. Open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. it would be a great place to grab a long lunch and get some work done in the middle of the week.
Spicy food will keep you warm and on the weekdays Taqueria Tres Reyes isn't crowded. With a variety of Mexican food it's a great place to get some lunch.
