Roy Jeffries Fitzgerald of Riverdale passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 15. He was 93.
Born in 1919, Fitzgerald lived in Prince George's County from 1924 to 2008. In his youth, he attended both Riverdale Elementary School and Hyattsville High School.
Fitzgerald served in the U.S. Army during WWII from March 1944 to Dec. 1945. He was also the owner and founder of the Fitzgerald Company, Inc.
