Report: PGCPS Evaluating Attendance Zone Plan
The plan would reshape the attendance zones for Oxon Hill High School and Accokeek Academy.
A plan that could change where more than 1,000 students attend school is being reviewed by the Prince George's County school system, according to a story in the Washington Post.
The plan would reshape the attendance zones for Oxon Hill High School and Accokeek Academy and combining elementary and middle school students who participate in deaf and hard of hearing programs into one school, according to the report.
According to the Washington Post:
The plan also calls for fixing school assignments for 40 students who were placed in the wrong schools based on their addresses, and it would move 350 sixth-graders from Woodmore, Ardmore, Magnolia, Hyattsville, Riverdale, Capitol Heights and John Bayne elementary schools to five area middle schools.
