Prince George's County Police have identified the victim of last week's fatal stabbing on Kennedy Street as Maritza Alfaro-Abarca, 32, of Riverdale.

On Aug. 24 at around 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the 5600 block of Kennedy Street in Riverdale to conduct a welfare check.

When they arrived, police reportedly found Alfaro-Abarca with a stab wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators are still working to determine a suspect and motive in the killing.
