New Principals Named at Riverdale, EXCEL Academy and Hyattsville Middle
Prince George's County Public Schools named the newest leaders to a few local schools.
The District 197 School Board met July 11 at Mendota Heights City Hall.

New principals have been named at some area schools including Riverdale Elementary, EXCEL Academy and Hyattsville Middle.
Cheryl Hughes will be the new principal at Riverdale Elementary taking over for Carol Cantu, who retired after a five-year stint.
Diane Kanu will be the new acting principal at EXCEL Academy on Riverdale Road and Kimberly Washington will also be the acting principal at Hyattsville Middle.
Patch will try to catch up with the new principals before the school year begins.
