Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commision (M-NCPPC) has announced that all Summer Playground Programs, Summer Teen Centers, and Therapeutic Recreation day camps held at public school sites will be open on June 3, with the exception of those held at Clinton Grove Elementary, Oxon Hill Elementary, James Duckworth Regional School, C. Elizabeth Rieg Regional School, and Suitland High School.
The following M-NCPPC sites are without power and will be closed today, June 3:
- Langley Park Community Center and Senior Activity Center
- Tucker Road Community Center and Ice Rink
- Glenn Dale Community Center and Pool
- Hamilton Pool
- Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center
- Watkins Tennis Bubble and Nature Center
- Clearwater Nature Center
- Marietta House Museum
- Billingsley House
Downed power lines will keep Watkins Regional Park closed through Thursday, June 5 and that evening's concert was postponed until August. The “Terrific Tuesday” event on June 3 was also canceled.
Cosca Tennis Bubble is open, but the park is closed due to downed trees and power lines.
