While IHOP is picking up the tab, the restaurant is also encouraging patrons to donate to the National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The organization's mission is "to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improve the lives of patients and their families."
Last year, National Pancake Day raised $200,000 for the chapter. Organizers are hoping to top $275,000 with this year's effort.
If you're not much of an IHOP regular, there are locations in Riverdale (5603 Kenilworth Ave.), College Park (9680 Baltimore Ave.), and Brentwood (3601 Bladensburg Rd.).
