I'd also suggest that people DO make a list before they shop; I'm amazed at how few people I see in the stores with a grocery list! (paper or electronic) Guaranteed if you go into the store and just browse you WILL end up spending more money. I shop at the same stores every week and can generally estimate within a few dollars how much I'll spend. An example? Went shopping yesterday to do some stocking up and estimated my grocery bill would be $100. Total actual amount of my bill? $99.62!
