Monday marks National HIV Testing Day, which means many facilities who normally offer the test may offer it for free or host longer hours.

So, why get tested?

If you're sexually active, have had multiple partners or your just want to know — it's a great idea.

There are several locations offering free HIV tests both in the regular format and rapid blood test.

Testing is also available at Whitman Walker Clinic in College Park, the Prince Georges Hospital Center  and the  Prince Georges County Health Department.
