Get Out: Places to Enjoy Oscar Night in D.C.

A look at places where you can watch the 83rd Academy Awards in the D.C. metro area.

 

If you're a movie fanatic this Sunday you're probably tuning into the 83rd Academy Awards.

But, if you're not hosting you're own Oscars Party, here are a few you can attend.

"And the Winner Is..."

Hosted by the D.C. Film Society this is party of choice to attend at the Arlington Cinema N' Drafthouse at 2903 Columbia Pike in Arlington. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Pre-show is at 7:00 p.m. and the Oscars ceremony gets underway at 8:00 p.m. Order tickets online here.

Academy Awards Showcase at The National Archives

Want to check out some of the movies nominated this year? Well you can at the William G. McGowan Theater throughout the weekend starting Wednesday. Check out the schedule here.

Oscar Night at Quill

For a classy evening, check out the Jefferson Hotel's bar for a night of cocktails and food. The show starts at 6 p.m.

Nellie's Oscar Watch Party

If you think you can already call the winners, you may want to check out Nellie's Sports Bar on U Street  where you can win gift certificates and T-shirts for the right answers. The party starts at 5 p.m.

Oscar Night at the Heights

With happy hour specials all night, movie-themed cocktails, popcorn and ballots to cast your own votes, The Heights on 14th Street NW offers guests an experience on Oscar night.
