Former Policeman Killed Mistress and Child Over Child Support, Argue Prosecutors
A former D.C. officer shot his mistress to death and left their child to die in a hot car in Prince George's, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors in the murder trial of a former D.C. police officer say he shot his mistress to death and left their child to die in a hot car in Prince George's County, according to The Washington Times.
Richmond Diallo Phillips, 40, allegedly killed the two because he didn't want to pay child support, argued prosecutor Angela Alsobrooks during opening statements Monday, the Times reported. The case is the first that Alsobrooks, Prince George's County State's Attorney, has personally prosecuted since being elected in 2010, according to The Washington Times.
Defense lawyer Brian Denton said his client is innocent and called the evidence circumstantial, according to Times.
Phillips, of Temple Hills, MD, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and with child abuse, according to court records.
Phillips was arrested in June 2011 after Wynetta Wright, 20, was found on June 2 suffering from trauma to her body in Oxon Run Stream Valley Park, according to Prince George's County police. She was shot in the head, WJLA reported.
Her infant daughter, Jaylin, was found abandoned in a car in the 2400 block of Southern Avenue and was pronounced dead, police said. The child was in her car seat with the doors closed and windows rolled up, according to the The Washinton Times.

innocent till proven guilty right. since that's the law to be procesed acording to laws so yes evidence trial, attorney ect not just to a witch hunt trial.

Very tragic story for the little girl who had no chance in life. Sad that the mother encouraged the daughter to have a relationship with a married man and actually believed that they were going to be a proper family. This has happened way too often in real life. It may happen on TV but not necessary in real life.

Lets not forget about his wife Rhonda Phillips. Now this is a woman that has no remorse, it raises the qyestion as to how she played a major part in this tragedy. Here u have a woman cheating on her husband as well. A wife that knew there were to bodues waiting to be found and then braggung about how its the best thing that happen to her, abd how she can have a booty call if she wants. How did she know her husband was going to be bought up on charges or how it was going to be on the news days before it hit the news. Well if u ask me I wikl say she either played a part or convinced him to do ut. Ei ther way she needs to be charged with murder and rot with her predator looking gusv abd.
