According to the town of University Park, only one resident filed to run for the vacancy on University Park's council.
David Brosch, the president of University Park Community Solar, LLC, credited for the solar panels on the roof of the University Park Church of the Brethren, is running for the ward 1 council seat left vacant by former councilwoman Margaret Mallino.
Brosch is running uncontested in the town's special election, which will be held on Oct. 25.
