Wednesday's DNC Schedule: Bill Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, Sandra Fluke
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will also speak as the 2012 Democratic National Convention enters its second night.
Wednesday evening marks the second night of the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Starting around 5 p.m., Democratic delegates will gather at the Time Warner Cable Arena for another round of speeches, followed by a roll call in which President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are set to be officially nominated for a second term in office.
Last night, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro, and First Lady Michelle Obama kicked off the convention with a mix of Democratic ideals, jabs at the Republican Party, and praise for the incumbent president.
Tonight's lineup of speakers includes attorney and women's rights activist Sandra Fluke, U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and former President Bill Clinton, who has the honor of opening the nomination process.
President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are slated to speak Thursday night. DNC organizers announced on Wednesday that tomorrow's proceedings would be held indoors—rather than at Bank of America Stadium as orginally planned—due to stormy weather in the forecast.
Below is the full rundown of DNC speakers and events scheduled for Wednesday. Local network affiliates—including WUSA 9 and ABC 7—will carry convention coverage beginning at 10 p.m., while cable news channels will feature many of the evening's earlier presentations.
