It wouldn't be Independence Day without a good fireworks show and in Prince George's County, there are quite a few options.
City of Bowie 4th of July Celebration
Where/When: Allen Pond Park, 3330 Northview Drive, Bowie Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Food and drink on sale beginning at 3 p.m. Fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Why to go: Excellent viewing locations and concessions are available on both the Northview Drive and the Mitchellville Road sides of the park. Eat, drink, and celebrate the 4th with friends and neighbors!

Six Flags America - 4thof July Celebration
Where/When: Six Flags America, 13710 Central Ave, Largo, Maryland 20775, Wednesday, July 4th, 2012. Fireworks to begin at dusk.
Why to go: Celebrate the Fourth of July Weekend at Six Flags America with a fireworks spectacular over Hurricane Bay wave pool at dusk. Free with paid admission.

Greenbelt 4th of July Fireworks
Where/When: Buddy Attick Park, 555 Crescent Rd., Greenbelt, Maryland, Wednesday, July 4, 2012, Entertainment begins at 4 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.
Why to go: Celebrate Independence Day in the traditional way, with friends, family and Fireworks!

College Park 4th of July Fireworks
Where/When: University of Maryland, College Park. Parking Lot 1, off Campus Drive near the University Boulevard/Adelphi Road entrance, Wednesday, July 4, 2012, Food is served beginning at 5:00 p.m. and music start at 7 p.m., with fireworks beginning at dusk.
Why to go: The University of Maryland and the City of College Park host a Fourth of July celebration with fireworks and Rock and Roll tunes. Grass seating is limited, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will offer hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, ice cream, snow cones, soda and bottled water. Personal coolers are allowed. Alcohol and personal fireworks are prohibited on campus.

Did I miss a page? There's no mention of Laurel's fireworks on July 7th.

There is an event in Laurel on the 7th. All of these are fireworks on the actual 4th of july! But Laurel Patch will have info on that show and I can add the link to this post then!

There is a free fireworks show on July 3 at Trinity Assembly of God 7800 Good Luck Road in Lanham/Greenbelt. Free kids activities at the Boys and Girls Club ball fields adjacent to church grounds. Door prizes. Free concert by local and regional musicians. Event starts at 6 pm. Bring your own chair or blanket.
